- זַיָּירָא, זַיָּירָה, זַיְרָאm. (זוּר Pa.) press, the perforated tub containing the object to be pressed or beaten. Y.Sabb.XVII, 16b top; Y.Bets. I, 60c bot. בז׳ ובמזורהוכ׳ as regards the handling on the Sabbath of a press-tub Ib. ז׳ דו עצר ביהוכ׳ zayyara is that in which an object is squeezed, mzorah is that with which the beating is done.
